Timothee Chalamet, Selena Gomez to Lead Voice Cast of 'Not Alone'
Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are starring in Illumination's new animated film 'Not Alone,' announced at the Annecy Animation Festival, with Chalamet making his animation debut as Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic.
Gomez plays Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist developing the world's first plant-fueled rocket, who meets Joe to prepare for the inaugural launch, where immediate sparks emerge despite their romantic struggles.
Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetriou voice three aliens—tiny, unruly, and adorable—while Brett Goldstein plays Officer Zandro; Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris round out the supporting cast.
On the run from Zandro, a zealous-yet-inept officer of the law, the three aliens take refuge in Joe's home, where they discover Fran's rocket could provide their means of escaping to safety.
Directed by Illumination mainstays Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan Del Val and produced by CEO Chris Meledandri, 'Not Alone' will arrive in cinemas on April 16, 2027.
The actors will lend their voices for the next film of science fiction and romantic comedy from the Illumination studio, whose premiere will be in April 2027.
