Minnesota Timberwolves Unveil New Uniforms, Court for 2026-27 Season
The new design blends past eras and restores the pine trees that framed the team’s logo from 1996 to 2017.
On Sunday, the Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled a wholesale redesign featuring a new logo, uniforms, and court for the upcoming season, drawing inspiration from their 1989 debut and reintroducing the original blue, green, and white color palette.
Seeking to blend franchise history with current team energy, the organization brought back the iconic pine-tree trim, a design element popular during the Kevin Garnett era that returns with a glowing blue edge inspired by Minnesota's 10,000 lakes.
New design details include a custom 'Tree-M' monogram on the belt buckle and a five-tree lineup above every jock tag, as Timberwolves CEO Matt Caldwell said the goal was to 'reflect the pieces of Timberwolves basketball fans have always connected with.'
Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett modeled the new uniforms in a team video, exclaiming 'This is fly, man,' though some fans have noted a lack of variety with 'WOLVES' appearing on all three jerseys.
Shaped by years of fan feedback, this rebrand marks a significant shift from the team's previous aesthetic as the Timberwolves aim to build upon recent playoff success in their revitalized look for the 2026-27 season.
