Weather France warns against the occurrence on the night of this Tuesday to this Wednesday of a "Mediterranean episode setting up first on the Cevennes". Heavy rains are feared, with up to 300 mm in places.
Météo-France has placed the three departments of southern France in vigilance rain-flooding as of Wednesday midnight. "The rainy intensities on the Cevennes will be particularly marked", warns the forecaster.
The Cevennes will be hit by severe thunderstorms and heavy rains on the night of Wednesday 29th to Thursday 30th September. As early as midnight, three departments will be placed in orange alert until 6pm.
