Two Rescuers Die in Warehouse Collapse
NORTH DELHI, JUL 11 – The building was previously marked unsafe and evacuated, but collapsed early Friday killing one man, with police registering an FIR and investigation ongoing.

- The building was declared unsafe and evacuated after notices issued on June 12 warned owners about its dilapidated condition before tunnelling began.
- Manoj Sharma, a 45-year-old employee at shop number 7A in the building, was pulled from the debris and declared dead at Hindu Rao Hospital.
- Rescue operations involved the NDRF and Delhi Police, and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced a Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for the deceased’s family while ordering a detailed investigation.
- Authorities registered an FIR for death by negligence and continue investigations amid concerns that nearby metro construction may have contributed to the collapse.
