Four people arrested after aircraft vandalised at RAF Brize Norton
- On June 26, Counter Terrorism Policing South East arrested four individuals in connection with damage caused to a pair of military planes during an incident at the RAF Brize Norton airbase on June 20.
- The arrests came after activists broke into the site, using modified fire extinguishers to spray red paint inside turbine engines and employing crowbars to inflict additional damage.
- The individuals detained include a 29-year-old woman without a permanent residence, two men from London aged 36 and 24, and a 41-year-old woman who was taken into custody on suspicion of helping an offender.
- Palestine Action claimed two members used electric scooters to reach the Voyager jets and said their actions were a "direct intervention in the genocide", while the Home Secretary called the group's methods "more aggressive".
- The government plans to proscribe Palestine Action under terrorism laws punishable by up to 14 years in prison, with a draft order set for parliament next week pending approval.
