Following the maritime accident off the coast of Girne, Enver Öztürk, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the TRNC, Mustafa Ambar, Director of the Ministry, and Emsal Emirzadeoğluları, Director of the Ports Department, were dismissed from their positions. Murat Salel was appointed as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry.

According to the decrees issued following the ship accident in Girne, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Enver Türk, the Director of the Ministry, Mustafa Ambar, and the Director of the Ports Department, Emsal Emirzadeoğulları, were dismissed from their positions as part of the personnel changes within the Ministry.

Following the sinking of a passenger ship in the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), dismissals continue at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
