Three men found guilty of murdering a suspected drug dealer in the south.

A jury found three of the five defendants guilty of the murder of Jonathan "Pitusa" López Merced, which occurred on November 4, 2022, in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Lajas. One of the defendants, Carlos Javier Caraballo, pleaded guilty early in the trial, while no case was found against another defendant, Ángel Joel Rodríguez Castro, at the preliminary hearing.
