Hurricane Center Ups Odds Again for 1 of 3 Atlantic Systems to Develop

- Forecasters give the African wave a 50% chance of development within seven days, while systems near Bermuda and Portugal carry 30% and 10% chances respectively.
- Environmental conditions are "marginally conducive for development," and a tropical depression could form by the middle to latter portions of this week, potentially becoming Dolly while moving westward at 15 to 20 mph.
- Experts at Colorado State University predicted a well below-normal season, and with peak hurricane season beginning Sept. 10, the National Hurricane Center continues monitoring these disturbances across the Atlantic.
