On June 28, 2025, at approximately 8:14 p.m., Thorsby/Breton RCMP responded to the report of a serious collision involving a Dodge Ram and a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 778 at Township Road 490 in Leduc County.

On June 28 at approximately 8:15 p.m., Thorsby/Breton RCMP responded to a collision involving a Dodge Ram and a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 778 and Township Road 490. The two occupants of the Silverado, a 31-year-old female and a 30-year-old male were pronounced dead at the scene.
