But during a recent renovation of the greenhouse, the valuable and extremely rare Ceylonese cone palms suddenly started to lose their leaves. A frantic rescue operation was then launched. “They are perhaps our greatest plant treasure,” says curator Sofie Olofsson about the 150-year-old, rare trees.
