Environmental diplomacy emerged from this third United Nations Conference on the Ocean. "Nice commitments for the ocean" were presented on Friday, at the end of the summit, and the Treaty on the High Seas is on track to be ratified.
The third UN conference on the ocean was concluded on 13 June with half-tone ambitions. In the midst of the crisis of multilateralism, however, steps have been taken in the defence of ecosystems on the high seas or in the fight against plastic pollution.
