One of the biggest music festivals, Exit, will be held in Novi Sad for the last time this year. Organizers say they have decided to withdraw due to "undemocratic pressures" after supporting student protests.
The 25-year-old Exit festival in Serbia will be held for the last time this year due to pressure to support students. Organizers explained in a press release that they have lost all public financial support since last year, when they expressed support for the student struggle for a free and just society in Serbia.
According to the organizers, since their public statement, the Serbian state has cut them off from public funding and several sponsors have been forced to withdraw, so they are organizing the festival for the last time.
