A canyon fire charred 45 acres Thursday afternoon in eastern Carlsbad, forcing nearby neighborhoods to evacuate until crews gained the upper hand. CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Evacuations have been lifted for a brush fire in Carlsbad that broke out Thursday afternoon.
