The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a low-pressure area in the Atlantic Ocean, associated with a tropical wave, which has the potential to develop into a tropical depression in the coming days. The system, identified as Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL96), is located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and is moving west or west-northwest across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.

Tropical activity begins to gain ground in the Atlantic, with two areas of low pressure under surveillance due to their development potential. One is located in the central subtropical Atlantic, while the other advances from the eastern tropical Atlantic and has a higher probability of becoming a tropical depression.
