Six endless months of uncertainty has lasted the search for the Catalan hikers Txell Fusté and Esteve Carbonell in the French Pyrenees, where they disappeared last December during their ascent to the top of the Rulhe on a day of wind and snow. This Thursday, the lifeless body of the 52-year-old Manresana has been found near the point at which his companion's was found, 46, on June 1.
The high-mountain gendarmerie platoon found on Thursday the body of a missing Spanish woman in the Pyrenees last December. Her companion's body was found 10 days ago. The couple of hikers had been surprised by a snowstorm.
The Foix Public Prosecutor's Office (Ariège) confirmed on 13 June that the two bodies recently found in the area of the Rulhe Pic are those of the couple of Spanish hikers who disappeared last December.
This is Txell Fusté's body, 52 years old.
