The Civil Guard has deactivated a hand grenade from the Civil War located by a hiker in the municipality of Abánades (Guadalajara). The device was neutralized by controlled detonation in the town of La Torresaviñán. The armed institute recalls that these explosives, although they can remain dormant for decades, retain mostly the cargo intact and can detonate before any manipulation, no matter how minimal.
