A specialized military unit to respond to disasters, public calamities and other situations of risk was created and is in the process of consolidation within the Armed Forces of Bolivia. The announcement was made by the commander-in-chief of the FFAA, General of the Army Victor Hugo Balderrama, during his speech in commemoration of the 201 years of creation of the Armed Forces that had as epicenter of the central acts the Air Base in El Alto.
