Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a garden at a house of multiple occupancy on Saturday in Ewell Road. The cause of the fire is believed to be due to the pit being placed too close to the property. Firefighters say they should be placed at least three feet away from anything combustible and doused in water when finished with.
