Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek submitted a request to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, to waive the immunity of PiS MEP Mariusz Kamiński.
"This Żurek really likes me. He just submitted another request to the European Parliament to waive my immunity. He uncovered a terrible crime. Almost 20 years ago, as head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA), I ordered an investigation into the Kwaśniewski family's assets and the matter of the villa in Kazimierz," Mariusz Kamiński wrote on social media.
A motion to waive the immunity of MEP Mariusz Kamiński has been submitted by the Prosecutor General to the President of the European Parliament. In the letter, the prosecutor requested consent to prosecute the former head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) for two prohibited acts involving abuse of power.
