There and back again, Simon Bennet’s frontier journey - Berthoud Weekly Surveyor

Simon Bennett (1828-1910) was one of the first settlers in the Little Thompson Valley. His farm, established in the early 1870s, bordered the east side of the original Berthoud settlement on the Little Thompson River bottom. However, Bennett’s life in what was then the Colorado Territory dated to 1860 and was the tale of a man who never lost his interest in prospecting for gold.
