A Villena court has opened preliminary proceedings for the theft of the Villena Treasury, one of the largest European gold collections of the Bronze Age, against the mayor, the socialist Fulgencio Celdrán, and the director of the museum of the city where the coup took place (Muvi), Laura Hernández.
The Villena City Council (Alt Vinalopó) commission investigating the theft of the city's Treasury was formed this Tuesday in a session in which it was agreed to request seventeen appearances, including those of the Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Carmen Ortí, and those of other political and technical positions, including people linked to the council.
