According to a military source loyal to the Yemeni Government, on Thursday, government forces recovered most of the Houthi-controlled positions during the first hours of a massive attack that lasted about 15 hours in the West Ta'izz and West Coast fronts, confirming that dozens of dead, wounded and captives had fallen among the Houthi ranks.
Fierce clashes are taking place between Yemeni armed forces and Iran-backed Houthis in the southwestern city of Taiz.
Yemen: On Thursday, the Yemeni army announced a counter-attack on Houthi's positions in Jabhati al-Kaddhah and a cemetery west of Ta'izz governorate south-west of the country. This was reflected in a brief statement by the army's Ta'izz military hub, published through its Facebook account.
The Yemeni news agency reported that the army engaged in fierce clashes with the Houthi group on the Al-Barah front, west of Taiz city.
