The Seimas working group reviewing the management system of the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) agreed on Tuesday on the functions of the council and the board of the public broadcaster, but views differed on the establishment of the mission in the law.

Birutė Davidonytė, head of the Association of Professional Journalists, says that members of the working group considering amendments to the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) in the Seimas have already received a draft of the public broadcaster law, which they are expected to present on Thursday. She believes that this version is much worse than the initial proposals of the ruling party, which led to thousands of protests.
