The net financial wealth of Spanish families reached a new historical peak in the second quarter of 2026, reaching 2.8 trillion euros, 12.8% more than a year earlier. This increase occurs in a context of a reduction in indebtedness relative to the size of the economy, with a debt of households equivalent to 41.9% of GDP, its lowest level since the third quarter of 1999.
