The Way We Were: Women have a bit of a laugh at their male counterparts in 1905

Donning facial hair, bowler hats and narrow ties, a group of women costumed as men appear to pay court to the woman seated in the center of this photo, taken about 1905. Some of them appear to be enjoying a smoke. Although the reason for the masquerade isn’t known, the photographer did take down the names of his subjects for posterity.
