The department of Maine-et-Loire remains in red vigilance at the floods on Wednesday 18 February. The Prefecture takes stock of the situation.
Part of France is still under water on Wednesday 18 February. In Saintes, Charente-Maritime, or La Réole, Gironde, the final degrease is still not in sight. Whole areas are submerged and a new storm, named Pedro, could degrade the situation, especially in Maine-et-Loire.
On Wednesday 18 February 2026, Météo France places another 4 departments in red vigilance and 9 in orange for floods as a new depression is about to hit the Hexagon.
