The Vatican Museums will show for the first time a restoration that has made it possible to rediscover a work by El Greco that for decades remained partially hidden under a decal made by a forger. It is the painting El Redentor, an oil on board of small dimensions (45 x 29 cm) made between 1590 and 1595 by the great master of Spanish mannerism, representing a redeeming Christ or savior of the world.
