UN Health Exchange of Prisoners Between Moscow and Kiev
The United Nations welcomed the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine yesterday, after the agreement signed last week between the two countries that will involve a total of 2,000 people. "We hope that the exchange of prisoners of war will continue and make part of a wider effort to calm the situation," said the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Farhan Haq, at his daily press conference on the subject.

Within the framework of the Istanbul agreements with Ukraine on the exchange of prisoners, Russia returned 270 military personnel and 120 civilians, including the captured civilian residents of the Kursk region, from the territories under the control of the U.S.A., as reported by the official television channel of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
