New Israeli strikes on Syria, despite UN warning

UN Special Envoy Geir Pedersen called on Israel on Thursday "to stop these attacks", which "save efforts to build a new Syria" and "stabilize Syria at a sensitive time".

In Syria, Israeli aviation again targeted two military positions, Thursday evening, 3 April, on the outskirts of Damascus. Attacks that occurred less than 24 hours after a particularly striking evening: 24 strikes across the country, and 13 deaths during a land incursion, in the province of Deraa, in the south.
