The abolition of the transaction tax is again questionable. Hlas boss Šutaj Eštok said that the decision to abolish it is still valid.
Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) has indicated that the abolition of the transaction tax may not yet be final. He wants to raise the question at the coalition council whether the government will reconsider its end. At the end of August, he announced that the tax would be abolished from January 1, 2027.
