The Toborochi in Flower, a Symbol that Paints Santa Cruz in Pink

For decades, all the Toborochis of the region were catalogued as Ceiba speciosa, originally from Argentina; however, an investigation published in 2024 by the Museum of Natural History, changed the botanical narrative. Researchers James Arnold Drawer, Juan Carlos Catari and Alejandro Angulo identified that the most common tree in Santa Cruz is actually a new species: the Ceiba camba
