Ten new names may be added to the list of possible first names, the Tisza government would introduce a new system
Even though Lajos Kósa raised the first name request to ministerial level, the Tisza government is taking everything back.
The First Name Register Expert Committee decided in January to delete 145 unused names, but this has now been overturned.
The Tisza government would thoroughly overhaul the system for authorizing first names, essentially reversing the reform introduced during the Fidesz era. According to 24.hu, the new ministry would change the system that last summer placed the care of the first name register in the hands of the minister responsible for culture, and which has since caused serious disruptions in the authorization of new first names.
The first names banned by the Lajos Kósa family were granted amnesty.
Despite the fact that the former Fidesz MP raised the first name request to ministerial level, the Tisza government not only undoes everything, but even nullifies the decisions of Lajos Kósa and his family.
