The German volleyball team is in the quarterfinals of the European Championship after a 3-2 victory over Belgium after seven years. One of the main architects of the victory in Istanbul was the stepdaughter of Czech national team member Helena Grozer, Leana Grozerová. The 19-year-old smasher contributed 28 points to the triumph. The Germans will face the winner of the last round of 16 between home team Turkey and Azerbaijan in the semifinals.
