Tess Daly and Vernon Kay's Daughter Phoebe Teases New 'Era' for Her Mum
The couple said the split was mutual and asked for privacy, while remaining committed to co-parenting their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber.
On Friday, television presenters Tess Daly, 57, and Vernon Kay, 52, announced their separation after 23 years of marriage via joint Instagram statements, declaring they have decided to "separate amicably."
Daly and Kay married in 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Horwich after meeting in 2001 while working for rival television channels. The couple shares two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.
Recent signs of the couple leading separate lives emerged across social media, with Daly posting about "finding peace" in months prior. The pair had not been photographed together since February when co-hosting The One Show.
Following the split, sources report Daly intends to prioritize travel after concluding her 22-year tenure on Strictly Come Dancing, while Kay continues his BBC Radio 2 presenting commitments.
Both parents remain "fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents," they confirmed in their joint statement. Kay noted their relationship with Phoebe and Amber is evolving as the daughters grow older.
