The Gaspé Railway Corporation recalls that ATVs must not operate on the railway line. The ATVs are required to issue this call after it has been found that ATVs regularly operate on or near the track ballast. The rail ballast is the bed of crushed stones on which the rails and ties of a railway lie. It is used to stabilize the railway track and prevent it from moving during temperature changes and train crossings.
