On the occasion of Czech Statehood Day, the President of the Senate, Miloš Vystrčil (ODS), presented silver commemorative medals. They are awarded to personalities who have excelled in their field or contributed to the good reputation of the Czech Republic abroad. This year, Vystrčil honored seventeen personalities, choosing from more than a hundred nominations.
