The New BMW iX4 Is the X4 Reborn as an EV
BMW says the coupe-roofed EV will start with two variants and reach 828 km of claimed range on a single charge.
- BMW unveiled the new Neue Klasse electric SUV with a sloping coupe-inspired roofline, expanding its electric vehicle lineup ahead of a European debut in March.
- Having debuted the first Neue Klasse model last year, BMW developed this SUV to feature its new styling direction while retaining a similar platform to siblings but adopting a lower, more compact silhouette.
- The M60 performance model produces 603 hp, while the SUV features an EPA range of 428 miles and charges from 10 to 80 percent in 21 minutes thanks to its 800-volt architecture.
- BMW priced the new SUV at $67,695 for showroom arrival in March, while BMW South Africa has not yet confirmed local availability though the model will be offered with alloy wheels up to 22-inches.
- Inside, the vehicle features a 17.9-inch center touchscreen and Panoramic display powered by BMW's Operating System software, plus a new vertical spoke steering wheel and optional 3D Head-Up Display.
