Rupiah Weakens in Tuesday Morning Trading, US Dollar Reaches Rp17,645
The Garuda currency weakened by 5 points or 0.03 percent to Rp17,645 per US dollar, compared to the previous closing level of Rp17,640 per US dollar.
According to Investing, the Rupiah fell 0.13%, or 23.7 points, to Rp17,639.6 per US dollar at the opening of Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The Rupiah weakened as the US Dollar Index (DXY) experienced a correction. The DXY fell 0.43%, or 0.423 points, to 98.727.
The rupiah exchange rate opened slightly weaker against the United States (US) dollar in trading this morning.
The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar today is projected to weaken to the range of Rp17,640-Rp17,680 per US dollar.
