The years of the producer, exporter and distributor devoted to the seventh art were marked by his activism towards Quebec cinema.
René Malo, a film producer who worked with Denys Arcand and Micheline Lanctôt, died on Sunday at 84 years of age. He had started his career by producing on stage and on discs artists who became icons of Quebec music such as Diane Dufresne and Robert Charlebois.
