I recently made a statement in Parliament on the growing problem of “Gender-Specific Religious Persecution,” often referred to as GSRP. This under-discussed but expanding issue involves women and girls from religious minority communities around the world facing a form of “double persecution,” as they are targeted because of both their faith and their gender.
