On Friday, from the mouth of Kleita, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould El-Sheikh Al-Faguani oversaw the launch of the second phase of the Eastern Aftot project to provide drinking water to some of the interior areas. The project, which is financed in cooperation between the Mauritanian Government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, has cost Euro24 million to boost water coverage up to 2040.
