BISHKEK (KIRGHIZISTAN) (XINHUA/ITALPRESS) - Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Bishkek for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2026 and for a state visit to Kyrgyzstan, at the invitation of Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov. The Chinese president will participate in the Eurasian summit, which celebrates 25 years, and then travel to Egypt to commemorate 70 years of relations.
The President will leave for Bishkek tomorrow to attend the Shanghai Summit.

Xi is accompanied by his wife, Peng Liyuan, as well as Cai Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Standing Committee and director of the CPC Central Committee General Office.
