The vast majority come in during the standard US work week, but a substantial number are submitted during off-hours.  For example, during May and June 2025 about 1,300 new patent applications arrived at the USPTO between 3 and 5 a.m. Eastern.  As the chart shows below, about two thirds of these came from East Asia.
