Orlando Vestel Columbié, pianist, composer and founder of the Cuban Institute of Music, died this Sunday in Havana at 72 years. Born in Santiago de Cuba, he was a central figure of Cuban musical institutionality for decades, although his management generated controversy due to alleged censorship of artists. His wake will be held in private ceremony by family decision.
