Dogs, cats, turtles, fish and even ferrets have met this Sunday on the occasion of San Antón, patron of the animals, in the neighborhood of Cerro Gordo, where a blessing of new animals was celebrated in the city of Badajoz.
As is tradition, and even more so at the oldest feast in Alicante, the animals and their owners have been the protagonists of the last day of the Porrate de San Antón. The Plaza de Toros de Alicante has been filled by hundreds of citizens who, with their pets, have gone to seek the blessing of the patron saint.
