Approximately 80 sheep suspected of small ruminant pest were slaughtered on Wednesday in Vaslui County, after authorities discovered unauthorized animal transport. The measure was made available by representatives of the Local Committee for Disease Control (CLCB), to prevent the spread of the disease and outbreaks in the area.
They will be restricted to pasture so that the flocks do not come into contact with each other and all sheep and goat transports on the territory of Romania are suspended. To slaughterhouses only direct transport will be allowed.
