The people of Stoneleigh will come together on Sunday to take part in an historic walk.
Rogation Sunday ‘Beating the Bounds’ is inspired by a centuries-old Christian tradition. Participants will walk the 5.5-mile boundary of the parish and revive the ancient custom of ‘Beating the Bounds.’ Historically, this practice saw congregations walk and mark the edges of their parish to affirm shared identity and stewardship of the land. The Walk will raise funds for St. John’s Church and its Parish Centre.
