Rada passes European Solidarity's shelter bill in first reading
The Verkhovna Rada has passed in first reading the bill "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Measures to Ensure Citizens’ Safety During a Special Period," which provides for the construction of shelters and was earlier submitted by MPs from the European Solidarity faction.
Prohibition of renting shelters during martial law - the Council adopted on the basis ofthe Parliament supported the draft law on the prohibition of the misuse of shelters and the termination of their lease during the war condition. The document provides for monthly inspections, cameras and responsibility for blocking access.
In the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a temporary draft of the European Solidarity faction on shelter. 296 MPs voted for the draft law on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on the adoption of measures to ensure the safety of citizens in the conditions of a special period.
