Concerns about European gas supplies heading into winter are mounting. Not only does Fatih Birol, Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), warn of historically low gas stocks, but gas and electricity prices are also climbing to their highest levels in 3.5 years. “The outlook is getting worse by the day,” says Rabobank analyst Florence Schmitt.
