The meeting planned for this Sunday between the Ministry of Education and the teachers' unions has started at 18:18 hours and about two hours later has not allowed to reach an agreement. UGT, STEPV and CCOO unions have issued a statement announcing that they will not move from council until they get an agreement and they assure that the Generalitat refuses to reopen the negotiation of the remunerations.
The representatives of STEPV, CCOO and UGT refuse to leave the meeting room after an hour and a half of meeting without any progress in the negotiation. Teachers have largely rejected the latest proposal put forward by the Valencian government.
The STEPV, CCOO and UGT unions have decided to stay tonight in the Valencian Community’s Council of Education, specifically in the meeting room, after a day of negotiation marked by high tension and blockade in the pay block, which has prevented the parties from concluding an agreement.
The STEPV, CCOO and UGT unions have denounced today Sunday May 31 the blockade of the negotiation with the Ministry of Education in the pay block, one of the central points of the indefinite strike. Union organizations have announced that they remain in the building of the Ministry of Education waiting for a response.
